Are You Fed Up With Frustrating Diet Fads that Leave You Feeling Like a Failure?
If so, you’re not alone. And, you’re not a failure!
You just haven’t found the right approach that’s personalized to who you are. That’s where an online nutrition coach can help out.
Rather than endlessly bumping your head against the latest diet fads, when you hire an online nutritionist you’ll:
- Receive one-on-one nutrition guidance from a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- Learn how to overcome obstacles & build healthy habits
- Take action to reach your health and fitness goals
Accredited by the following organizations.

What would it be like to have an expert at your side, guiding you and holding you accountable to reach your goals?
Imagine what it would feel like to be confident in your nutrition choices.
Empowering, right?
But, before we talk about the benefits of hiring a nutrition coach, let me rewind a little.
First, there’s a problem you need to know about. It’s likely at the root of your diet and fitness struggles. It’s the reason why diets fail for so many people.
This problem is built into the DNA of how we look at nutrition, health, and wellness.
What’s Wrong with the Traditional Approach to Nutrition & Fitness?
If you’ve tried past diets before, you may have experienced their downfall, firsthand. Maybe you even took the blame, telling yourself “If only I were more self-disciplined…”
Let me ask you something. Does the following sound familiar?
A friend or colleague tells you about the latest diet they’ve been on. You read the book, or binge read through online articles talking about the results. You can’t wait to take action.
“This is it” you say, “I’m going to make a change!”
Next, you clean out your cupboards and begin cutting foods from your diet.
Yeah, it’s difficult… but you’re determined. It’s time to become a healthier version of yourself, and you won’t take no for an answer.
Then what happens? Maybe some weight melts off. You’re feeling good. You’re cruising along… BAM!
What happened? Ugh… You’re back where you started. Disappointment creeps into your days, as you slowly backslide.
You try to move on, but in the back of your mind you hear a voice that says “See, I failed. That’s proof that I cannot do this.”
And, here’s the worst part:
Every time this happens it becomes harder to get back up and try again. You begin to believe you’re incapable of change.
Sound familiar? If so, you are not alone.
- About 45 million Americans go on a diet each year
- 2 out of every 5 people on a diet quit in the first 7 days
- Up to 90% of dieters regain their lost weight within 5 years
Okay, let me stop here and emphasize something.
You are not broken.
Instead, maybe there’s something wrong with your assumptions.
What if it’s the traditional approach to diet and fitness that are broken?
Consider the following:
Is Willpower Really the Issue?
Traditional diet culture tells us there are two opposing forces that face off when we try to work out, eat healthy, and get into shape.
- Willpower (the hero)
- Laziness (the arch villain)
It’s the classic tale of good vs. evil.
If willpower overcomes temptation, we succeed. If laziness overcomes willpower, we remain stuck in place. We backslide. We give up.
These notions are useless (and outdated). Here’s why.
First, your success with a goal has nothing to do with being “good” or “bad”.
So, let that guilt go. It’s only holding you back.
Secondly, willpower and laziness are not actionable.
What are you supposed to do if you see yourself as lazy? Muster up more willpower? Pull yourself up by your bootstraps?!?
THIS IS WRONG.
Research suggests that self-control and willpower are not what help people succeed at their goals.
Instead, people who succeed at their goals:
- Focus on healthy activities they “want” to do, instead of “have to” do
- Structure their environment to make healthy actions easier
- Plan ahead to identify obstacles
- Find reward and have fun
Willpower is not the missing ingredient for reaching your goals. What you need is a strategy.
How Online Nutrition Coaching is Different
My online nutrition coaching program is focused on strategy. And, it start’s with one single variable that most online diets and fitness plans leave out.
It starts with YOU.
Who are you? What are your goals? What do you do for a living? What does your schedule look like? What are your thoughts and beliefs about food, health, exercise?
As it turns out, there’s more to nutrition than just biochemistry.
Our life, experiences and beliefs have a profound impact on how we eat, and move throughout our days. So, they must inform our strategy.
This is where online nutrition coaching is different.
As a dietitian and nutrition coach my practice is founded on providing my clients with high quality nutrition information. I maintain an open mind to many dietary eating styles, and help my clients to better understand the trade offs and benefits of particular dietary trends.
But, information is just the beginning.
As your online nutrition coach, I’ll help you strategically move from information to application, so you’re moving forward toward your goals.
We forget about perfection. We focus on progress.
Consistent, steady progress.
What to Expect With Online Nutrition Coaching
Okay, so let’s walk through what online coaching looks like.
The first step is to schedule a discovery call with me. This gives us a chance to discuss your goals and make sure we’re a good fit.
If you and I feel like we’re a good fit, here’s how we proceed:
- We Start with an Initial Assessment – This is where I collect more detailed information on your health history and goals.
- We Review Your Health Goals and Strategize to Meet Them – After your initial assessment we will have a conversation and identify some areas of focus.
3. We Meet on a Regular Basis to Support Your Goals – Each week we’ll meet for your scheduled coaching call. These calls often include a mix of education, and goal planning for the following week. The helps to pair information with application, and then provides accountability as well.
The weekly specifics will vary based on your needs and interests. On some weeks we’ll be more nutrition focused and I might have you track your meal intake, or we’ll walk through a lesson on meal planning.
However, often times we go beyond just eating, to discuss stress, sleep and physical activity. That’s because these variables are all interrelated and can have a massive impact on our health.
For example, if we’re fighting poor sleep or stress, eating well is going to be all the more difficult. So, we want to address that challenge so it makes eating well easier.
Coaching from the Comfort of Your Own Home
Oh yeah, and the other perk of online nutrition coaching?
You won’t have to travel across town to battle traffic and jockey for a parking spot. With virtual nutrition coaching, we meet from the comfort of your internet connection.
So, we can meet wherever you want!
Work from home? Perfect. I’ll see you there.
Have a busy day and need to take our call as you sit in your parked car between errands? That works too.
I’m guessing you already have a busy, and overwhelming schedule. Online nutrition coaching makes it more convenient to get started on your health goals, with minimal impact on your daily schedule.
How Much Does Nutrition Coaching Cost?
I provide two different nutrition coaching options. My standard package is the weekly nutrition coaching package, which provides 4 sessions per month.
Weekly Coaching is $300 per month
I personally recommend this option because it provides the most support and accountability. This is super important for developing healthy habits.
However, I also provide a lower priced, biweekly option which provides 2 coaching sessions per month.
Biweekly Coaching is $175 per month
The biweekly option allows you to move forward with your goals, but involves fewer monthly interactions. You’ll still receive email support and check-ins, but this option will provide you with less accountability.
The biweekly option is good for people who are already experiencing some forward momentum, and just need a little bit of support to help keep them on track.
Have a question about pricing? Just reach out.
What are My Credentials?
So far, we’ve talked a lot about you, and how online nutrition coaching can be a catalyst toward a healthier lifestyle. But I haven’t introduced myself.
Hi. My name’s Jon.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and ACSM certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. I have a masters level degree in nutrition and exercise, and also have a Dietitian Nutrition Coaching certificate.
What does that all mean?
That basically means I have a lot of education. Before becoming a Dietitian Nutrition Coach, I worked in marketing and technology for various startups. You can read more about why I became a dietitian here, but ultimately I wanted to empower people to live healthier and more satisfying lives as they age.
Rather than taking a few classes and calling myself an online nutritionist (yeah, some people actually do that), I wanted to have a solid foundation in nutrition and health sciences. So, I pursued credentials as a Registered Dietitian and a Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
This has given me experience in working with people throughout various stages of their wellness journey, including:
- Cardiac patients in exercise rehabilitation
- Older adults trying to optimize for aging and reduce their risk for chronic conditions (osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease)
- Busy professionals trying to lose weight and improve cholesterol
Of all of my experiences I most enjoy working with people to develop healthy habits.
What Inspires Me
My favorite impact on the world is seeing clients become empowered. Through nutrition coaching I see people develop awareness, and surprise themselves with what they are capable of.
That is what drives me to show up for my clients.
The way we eat and move can have rippling effects on the level of satisfaction in our lives. That is why I believe in what I teach.
